About Socrates Govindasamy

Socrates is a dual qualified lawyer in both India and in England & Wales with over 20 years of legal experience.

Upon completion of his law degree worked under a general practice lawyer, handled suits, Writs, Industrial disputes, workmen compensation, arbitration, Negotiable Instrument, Consumer and other civil cases.

Completed his Masters in International Commercial law and went on to become an English Solicitor, and practiced in high street law firms in London specializing in immigration, conveyancing and commercial contracts. 

Upon his return from UK, became a corporate in-house lawyer. Have worked closely with the Top Management teams and advised on critical business issues.

His professional experience includes working for IT giants like Cognizant, Wipro & HCL, and also with IT & ITES companies like Sutherland and CSS Corp. Handled multi-million dollar outsourcing deals and experienced in multi-jurisdictional legal matters pertaining to IT industries. Conducted legal due diligence for acquisition of entities based out of US and UK. Handled corporate litigations in India and abroad. Handled global compliance from legal perspective.

After moving out of Corporate in-house roles, he had chartered his course in legal practice and is currently providing legal advice& support and handles litigation to both Corporates and Individuals.
